Ecolig has 100% bio-based content, is obtained from highly photo-synthetically efficient Eucalyptus trees by a low-carbon footprint process. In this way markets and products become integral parts of a sustainable bio-economy
Suzano Ecolig is the first technical eucalyptus kraft lignin and, due to its plant-based origin and intrinsic chemical and physical properties Ecolig can be used in binders, elastomers, antioxidants and agro products, among others..
Ecolig is much more than a product: it is a natural high-performance sustainable platform for replacing many fossil-based materials. It is obtained from eucalyptus cultivated and harvested in Brazil with zero deforestation and using certified and sustainable forest management practices.
Moreover, it is produced in Limeira, São Paulo, at the world’s first certified eucalyptus lignin production plant. Like all Suzano mills, Limeira’s energy supply overwhelmingly relies on renewable sources.
